Mechanism of transition between separated and non-separated oil-water flows in inclined pipe

The analysis of drop formation and the transition between separated non-separated oil–water flows enables us to better regulate flow parameters pipe inclination angle, which is great significance for improving efficiency oil transportation. Previous studies mainly carried out qualitative through experiments studied flows, very few are conducted on dual continuous or intermittent flow. In addition, influence angle was not considered in study formation, results inadequate force drop. This article presents use dimensionless numbers predict relation expression obtained by regression experimental data. critical values can be calculated parameters. this proposes a three-dimensional interfacial wave shear deformation mechanism adding volume forces possible inclined pipe. prediction equation value calculated, good agreement with
